Ok - so maybe you won't be amazed, but I hope you find these facts both interesting and uplifting - I'm sure that Charlotte would ...
#1 - There are 72 youth and 20 adults serving on LOG teams this season - and we are more than halfway through the team process. That means our fall LOG weekends are less than a month away!
#2 - There are 32 first-time participants signed up for our fall LOG weekends - 17 for LOG #69 and 14 for LOG #70 - - and we are still expecting more to sign up this week.
#3 - Over one thousand teenagers
have attended a LOG weekend - 1172 to be exact! So we'll exceed 1200 by
the end of this fall. Since 1997, LOG has been a weekend that can last a
lifetime. Many LOG alums have in the past or now do serve as adult
advisors. Some alums give monthly to help insure that we can continue
to reach more and more youth with the love of God in the years to come.
#4 - We have raised nearly $1900 to support LOG
over the past six weeks! We brought in $1300 at the BBQ ribs event on
October 5th - and we have raised $596.00 by selling programs at three
Notre Dame home football games. Thanks to all who have helped by to
make this possible.
#5 - Terry is now on Twitter! I am @ mym4log. And I need you to follow me. I won't be posting every little thing I eat, do or think - but I will Tweet (still have trouble using that verb) whenever I post to the LOGblog or team group on Facebook. Following me will give you one more way to keep up on important stuff in the LOG community.
Please follow me and set the notifications so that you get a message when I tweet (I feel like a bird!)
Thanks to Lucy, there are some more photos from LOG #69 below - but be sure to read the good info as you scroll by!
THIS FRIDAY and SATURDAY - LOG #69 team overnight at Firehouse
THIS SATURDAY EVENING - we need help selling programs at ND
I'm really needing the LOG #70 team to step up and help this weekend as the LOG #69 team will just be off their overnight and most cannot help that evening.
We'll meet at 4:30pm - and be done by 8:30pm.
Registration price goes up for participants that are not confirmed:
Snacks for Team Meetings:
LOG #69 - Spencer, Skuylar, Ginni & Charlotte
LOG #70 - Ellie L, Kylie S and Clare D

What about a post with more fun facts? Like, how many high schools/states/countries have been represented, how many alums have come back to advise, which churches we've borrowed space in, when we made the move from meeting in homes to meeting in churches, how many were at the biggest and smallest weekends, etc.
ReplyDeleteAnother idea for a post- what about doing a feature on each of your co's and spirit leaders (with their permission, of course)? Pic and some basic info about their interests .
Maybe same thing for your current adults?
Just thoughts!
good ideas - wanna be a reporter, EC?
ReplyDeleteSure.
DeleteLet me know what you want to focus on first. Co's, maybe?
I think those are great ideas as well.
